With gyms being closed my husband and I got serious about taking care of our health and fitness at home by sacrificing our car park space and converting our garage into a home gym. Every 6 weeks we switch up our daily workout sets and we print them out and keep them in the garage. I was tracking my weights and reps but realized I needed a better system.
What I like about these pages are that it’s spiral bound so I can flip open to the entry I’m recording and fill out what I need.
There’s not a lot of wasted space or pages either since I already know what exercises we will be doing and I can fill out any commentary in the notes section (I note things about how my back/shoulders are feeling during squats or deadlifts, and anything I tried to tweak my form better).
Currently we do an upper and lower body split. Which means two days or more go by before rotating through the same exercise again. Recording what weight, how many reps, how my form went from the time before is helpful.
I also like not using my phone for tracking as it can be distracting (esp at home with no one waiting on equipment). Writing it down is so handy.
Lastly, because the book is a practical black plastic cover. It’s robust and universal enough that my husband has requested I order one for him the next time I fill up my cart at amazon.
