I just got this & I haven’t figured everything out. But it has been taking

Alot of tuning. My TCL 5 series was much easier to set up. However the main reason I bought

this was for my Series X. And that’s where the TV is incredible. The colors on my games just pop out. But everything is supported. Your games will play at 120 frames per second but they won’t display in 4k. They play in 1080 p. So I disabled this feature. I’d rather have 4k at 60 frames per second. The sound is great. I have the 50 inch. My bedroom is small so even turning the volume up half way disturbed my roommates. I don’t think a sound bar will be necessary. If you have a new generation console this is the TV you want. I just wish it was easier to operate. Then again I’ve only had it a day. So I’ll get used to it eventually 🙂 update. Understand only the HDMI ports 3 & 4 are 2.1 it took alot of personal tuning to get it just right. Thinking about my TCL and this is comparing night & day. Vioce commands come in handy. It has different features that will only work with a ps5. I don’t have one so I really can’t go into that. But it’s perfect for next Gen. Picture quality is just outstanding. But it was at times frustrating to get it how I wanted. Trial & error. But now it’s exactly what I was looking for. Only real complaint is there’s no direction. The user manual only tells you were to plug it in. How to mount it on a wall. But it doesn’t go beyond that. Update 2 months. It looks very bad if you’re trying to view it from a angle. I have the 50 inch & I’m right in front. So looks good. From the side 🤮 and still I’m messing with settings to get the picture I want. Gaming looks awesome there is a separate setting for that. As far as movies & TV. It’s 50 50. You will spend alot of the time getting that picture you want. As far as settings go & making it look the way you want? C- however that’s only for tv. Games however this is what is was made for. Everything you want from a next gen console is supported. Just make sure you use hdmi 3 & 4 and enhance. Don’t use hdmi 1 & 2 for gaming. They don’t support hdmi 2.1. And it doesn’t look good from viewing from the side. Game or TV wise. It’s a great TV for your games. I’m using a Xbox series X. It supports everything. Except Dolby Vision. That is not a big deal. It makes up for it in others areas. The sound? Still sounds good. Without headphones. It’s horrible to tune it. Gaming is a breeze. It’s already set for that. Otherwise you might spend awhile getting everything else to look right. Edit now over a year old. The settings. It will take a awhile but once you get it it’s more than a just a gaming TV. I was frustrated. Also now I have a PS5 I will say both consoles the Series X and PS5 are nearly identical in most areas. The series X does have a tech advantage. The PS5 has a game advantage. So my final review 9 out of 10. For everything. But as stated before getting the settings to how you want might take you awhile. A long while. And remember only the last two HDMI ports support high end gaming.

As the title infers, this set has a very bright picture. It is so bright that I had to choose the standard mode vs. the vivid mode for the picture. The brightness of the picture is fairly universal from center to edge with no visually discernible loss. Viewing angle is somewhat limited for best picture quality. The sound is just ok. The item comes well-packaged with emphasis on protecting the screen much better than previous TV sets I have purchased. Set up was rather easy. I would caution purchasers that the set arrives with a piece of cardboard taped over the LCD screen. I cut the tape holding the cardboard but subsequently learned that the remaining portion of the tape used to affix the screen-protecting cardboard came back to bite me. Initially, I noticed that the set would not power on with the remote. There’s a power button located on the bottom edge, so I used that to power on. I was able to complete the entire setup with the manufacturer’s remote but when I tried to pair our cable remote to the set, it would not pair. The manufacturer’s remote and the DVR remote performed every function but powering the set on and off. Ultimately, we discovered that the previously mentioned tape used to hold the screen-protecting cardboard, combined with the protective plastic on the lower bezel from the manufacturer, was interfering with the on/off signal to the set. Unless you know it is there, you may not notice the plastic covering on the bezel at the bottom. And, unless you physically remove the tape that holds the protective cardboard for the screen vs. cutting it, you may experience a similar issue. Once we removed the tape and the protective plastic from the bottom bezel, we were able to pair the DVR remote and both remotes now function as advertised. I think it would be beneficial if Sony warned consumers about this. I was ready to send the set back. I’m glad we were able to resolve the issue and thus far, I am pleased with the purchase. I hope it is durable and can provide many years of viewing pleasure. Just as a point of caution, we replaced an exact same size set with this one, however; the previous set had a center pedestal to facilitate installation on the existing TV stand we owned. The Bravia TV uses legs on either side of the set to facilitate that same purpose. Purchasers should note the width of the supporting legs. We learned that they were 1/2″ wider than our existing stand and had to purchase a stand to accommodate the new set. The Sony Bravia includes hardware for wall mounting but you would have to purchase the wall mount separately. Good luck.

This is a great tv. It is a Google TV so it probably knows more about you than you do. You can use a Google app to setup but there are 3 Google apps and which one to use isn’t made clear. I selected the wrong one. I should have immediately downloaded the others but being stubborn I didn’t. If you buy this TV download all the Goggle apps.
This TV has so many options that I may never explore them all.
IMO the picture is excellent. The sound is good.
I purchased the 43 inch version. I would have preferred a larger size but I am limited in the space available. If you have the space I larger model is probably the way to go.
I have nothing bad to say about this product.

I researched a competitor’s TV (LG CANADA SUCKS!!!) for a few months and read the reviews. Finally settled on the top of the line LG OLED 83″ TV. Spent some large money on it! First one showed up in a perfect box. Very bent corner on the TV and broken screen! Can’t just pick it up and return it in a small car. Took 2 months of back and forth to get it sent back! I had to find an original box for that model and size so I bought the second same TV. Beautiful for 3 months til the power went out a few times. Pop, no more picture! They sent a repairman multiple times to take “Pictures” and third time back to take more pictures, magically there was a “crack” about the size of a flea on the right corner? Yup you guessed it! They said I must have broke it and absolved themselves of their “warranty” Continued to work the previous 5 times the power went out that day but the sixth time I must have broke it? So much for shopping CANADIAN with a Canadian Company!!! I’m out $6000 and they won’t even repair the TV!! But they will help me find a local repair company so I can spend another $4000 To get a new screen! Very nice of them isn’t it! So now I have myself this beautiful SONY TV! It’s quality is as good or better! A ton more options and free apps, it’s Bigger than LG’s TV! And the absolutely wonderful thing is? IT WAS HALF THE PRICE OF THE LG TV!!!! So much for shopping CANADIAN!!! Thank You SONY TV! LG? YOU SUCK!!!!
