Hanging out on the San Diego beaches and hiking the hills, Jim and Greg wanted to listen to their music in outdoor environments. This was the birth of ECOXGEAR, The Original Waterproof Audio company.

We launched our first IP67 waterproof and rugged speaker in 2007. Since then, the ECOXGEAR team has launched dozens of speakers with cutting edge features for all of life’s adventures.

What problem are we solving?

We added ruggedness and waterproofing to incredibly loud quality portable speakers for the great outdoors.

How did we get our start?

Jim and Greg were friends working in a tech start up and were tired of the corporate grind. When Apple and Samsung launched smartphones, how audio is listened to would forever change, and they wanted to lead the movement.

Founded in 2007 ECOXGEAR is the original waterproof speaker company. We have been awarded over a dozen US patents solidifying ECOXGEAR as the inventors of this category.

ECOCAST BUILT-IN – wirelessly connect with up to 100 EcoCast enabled speakers, soundbars, towers speakers and radios to create a massive true left and right stereo system for the ultimate party (EcoCast is not compatible with the previous generation EcoConnect technology)
MULTI-AUDIO SOURCE INPUTS AND OUTPUTS – connect to your phone from up to 100 feet away with built-in Bluetooth 5.1; switch playback between two connected phones without having to disconnect a phone; use the built-in speakerphone to conduct calls or connect to your favorite voice assistant; External microphone jack for PA or campfire sing along (mic sold separately)
