Floral Face Soap
How to Make:
Dice glycerin soap into 1⁄2″ cubes. Place the cubes in a heatproof container and melt in the microwave on a low setting (650 watts or lower) using 30-second intervals. Check between each interval to see if the soap has melted. You can also use the double boiler method to melt the soap pieces.
Add 2 tablespoons chamomile-infused sweet almond oil to the melted soap. Stir to combine.
Pour the soap mixture into the mold. If you want, you can scatter dried chamomile flowers over the wet soap. Let sit at room temperature for 1–2 hours or until it has cooled and is hard.
How to Use:
Run this soap over wet skin. Rinse with water. Let the soap air dry after each use.
How to Store:
Let the soap bar air dry after each use. To give it as a gift, wrap it in craft wrapping paper once it is cooled and hard. This face soap can keep up to 6 months.
How to Make Chamomile- Infused Sweet Almond Oil
To make your own chamomile-infused sweet almond oil, try this: Infuse 1⁄2 cup of sweet almond oil with about 1⁄4 cup of dried chamomile flowers. Choose either the hot or cold infusion method and follow the instructions from Chapter 5. Keep the chamomile-infused oil in an airtight container up to 6 months. With this infused oil you can also make the Salad Face Mask and the Eczema Eraser Balm.
Inspired by Korres’s Chamomile Softening Soap
If you’re looking for a gentle soap option, this would be the go-to choice for sensitive skin types. Plant-based glycerin and chamomile-infused sweet almond oil soothe your skin.
