We provide you with unique, high-quality handbags and backpacks from Nepal to accent your distinctive wardrobe. In addition to expressing your individuality, you will also be supporting traditional Nepalese handicrafts.
Each bag is handmade with meticulous attention to detail by Nepali women who often work in their homes using upcycled cotton and hemp (no synthetic fabrics like nylon or polyester). Some parts of the bag are hand-stitched, giving it its authentic identity, and then machine sewed to ensure durability.
About the Craftswomen
Although she may seem a world away, the Nepalese craftswoman’s story is not unlike your own. She wants health and happiness for herself and her family as well as a means to provide for them. Your work of art from Original Collections helps this dream become a reality by ensuring safe employment and an equitable living wage.

Original Collections was founded by a restless spirit ready to be part of something greater.
Despite a successful career in corporate America, Barb never found the sense of fulfillment she was seeking. She left behind convention and security and set off on a path, selling bohemian clothing at street fairs and music festivals. In 2007, her journey opened her eyes to the wonders of Nepalese arts and crafts. A bohemian at heart, she has achieved her dreams of providing products for you that can express your style and individuality.
Customers are connected with expert craftswomen in Nepal giving these artisans the means and opportunity to live a better life. Original Collections values giving back, and with every purchase, a donation is made to a women’s charity in Nepal.
